
San Diego Sports Arena Shopping Center
The San Diego Sports Arena Shopping Center was a complex site rehabilitation project that CPC undertookin 2011. Our company won a competitive bid to overhaul this 750,000 sf retail center, and we succeeded in completing the job in seven major phases. The largest challenge was conducting work while businesses were in operation and maintaining traffic throughout the shopping center. Not only did CPC finish on-time, we delivered a quality site re-development to the owner.

The Shoppes at Chino Hills
Command Performance Constructors acted as a subcontractor on this lifestyle retail center development in 2008, covering multiple trades related to horizontal construction. We self-performed all site concrete, grading, asphalt paving, striping, unit pavers, and landscaping for Opus Development on this 375,000 square foot project. The work included PCC sidewalk paving with steel reinforcement, asphalt driveways, concrete curb & gutter, decorative/colored concrete, and sprinkler irrigation. CPC's contract value was $4.5 million, and we completed this project within budget and on-time for Opus. Of particular note is the coordination role that we played; our crews successfully worked in conjunction with 15 other trades, including structural constructors, electricians, and underground contractors, among others, to launch the shopping center in time for the Grand Opening.

Residence Inn
Command Performance covers a large footprint in California, and San Diego County is one region where our experience has been proven. The new construction of the Residence Inn in San Marcos was a performed under a tight schedule to meet the demands of the owner, and CPC was responsible for all sitework, including:

Vons Long Beach
As part of the continued re-development of downtown Long Beach, Vons Supermarkets introduced a new store, and CPC took part in the construction. With rooftop parking, an aesthetically-pleasing facade, and a welcoming interior, this Vons represents the future of the city. The mayor of Long Beach attended a grand opening ceremony where he thanked those who helped construct the new site, and Command Performance was proud to have been on the team. Our scopes included:

Bellingham Elementary
Command Performance completed the construction of the Bellingham Elementary School in North Hollywood, CA for S.J. Amoroso Construction. This project featured difficult access and time constraints, but CPC rose to the occasion and helped earn a LEED Silver rating for another LAUSD school.

California State Univserity Long Beach
CPC performed major roadway and parking renovations in multiple phases for Cal State University Long Beach (CSULB). Phase 1 included Lots 4, 12, & 14. Phase 2 included Lots 3, 5, & 17, and Phase 3 included Brotman Hall, Deukmejian Way/West Campus Rd., and the MSX Building sidewalk.
Our team grinded and overlaid asphalt surfaces and installed type II road slurry, giving campus roads a much needed facelift. CPC also performed extensive concrete work to upgrade walkways and roads.

Oscar de la Hoya
Oscar de la Hoya Middle School is the newest Green Dot charter school in East Los Angeles. In order to complete the project, CPC managed multiple trades related to horizontal construction and delivered a superb finished product.

Twain Child Development Center
Command Performance earned a sealed competitive bid in 2010 to overhaul the 48,000 sq. ft. horizontal hardscape at Twain Child Development Center in Lakewood, CA. Our firm acted as prime contractor in this capacity. CPC went above and beyond by re-designing the drainage structures, engineering new elevations, and providing a new underground irrigation system. Total scope included:

Aerospace
The Aerospace Corporation conducts research and development for our country's national security space program, so CPC was put to the test when it came to performing construction upgrades at a sensitive satellite facility in El Segundo, CA. We were able to work under tight security constraints, beat the schedule, and uphold proper safety measures at all times.

Old Diminion
Old Dominion Truck Lines operates one of the busiest distribution centers in Southern Calfornia, and CPC felt honored to construct the horizontal portion of their new facility in Riverside. What started as an empty dirt lot became a massive site that services hundreds of trucks daily. Our crews were responsible for site concrete scopes of work, and we successfully completed the project for our partner, "Bremco Construction" in this capacity.

Preferred Freezer
Command Performance acted as a subcontractor to Dynamic Builders on this 150,000 sq. ft. trucking facility for Preferred Freezer and Poly Pak America. Because the site would be frequented by heavy- duty vehicles carrying large amounts of tonnage, we poured the concrete slab 8" thick and reinforced the structural sections near the truck loading docks. Our team performed all

Los Alamitos Army Reserve Center
Working ultimately for the US Army Corps of Engineers, CPC completed a project that supports national, state, and local authorities' mission to train, deploy, and mobilize emergency resources. The Los Alamitos Joint Forces Training Base (JFTB) is a strategically-situated U.S. Army Reserve Center that conducts aircraft training missions and supports military readiness. As the site concrete contractor, CPC worked closely with the prime contractor and USACE supervisor to ensure that a quality product was delivered according to the quality control and safety goals of the government.

Naval Base San Diego
CPC completed several horizontal construction projects in 2011 at Naval Base San Diego. Covering a variety of scopes for base-wide improvements, Command Performance partnered with NAVFAC FEAD personnel to successfully execute the contracts. Our team finished ahead of schedule and worked flexibly with the owner when obstacles arose. Managing traffic closures and devising parking solutions for Navy personnel pleased the tenants, and CPC turned the project over to a satisfied government client.
The scope of work included:

- Type I and II slurry sealing
- Crack filling and elevation corrections
- Striping and pavement marking

Pedestrian Safety Corridor
MCAGCC Twentynine Palms, CA
CPC won a competitive bid to install new concrete sidewalks and handicap ramps along Sturgis and Griffin Roads at the Marine Corps Air/Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms in late 2011. Our in-house crews worked consistently for forty-five days under an accelerated schedule to construct a new pedestrian walkway that stretched 4 city blocks and improved access to multiple high-traffic base operations. The Naval Hospital, tank farm, and Wounded Warrior facilities were uninterrupted during construction, and Marines now have a safe access route throughout the base. Above all, CPC executed a Safety Plan that preserved its zero incident rate and earned the company outstanding remarks from NAVFAC.

Freeway Exit
CPC won a competitive contract from CalTrans to re-engineer and re-construct the dilapidated Atlantic Blvd exit on the 405 South. With a new Home Depot being built directly across the street, our road paving experts offered suggestions for traffic mitigation that appealed to drivers and the City of Long Beach. Widening the exit created better visibility to drivers, and we installed new traffic loop detectors underground. In addition, CPC built a concrete median that enabled smooth flow of traffic into the new Home Depot parking lot without creating backups on the offramp. Here is how we accomplished the mission:

Oxnard Blvd.
Working in city streets is second nature to Command Performance. Throughout our company's history we have provided turnkey road paving, grading, striping, and underground services for cities and counties throughout the Western U.S. On this project for the City of Oxnard our crews worked night shifts to complete a busy stretch of highway that is frequented by heavy trucks and passenger vehicles.
