Our History

In 1954 our family began in construction by building some of California’s early roads and underground. Today CPC is one of California’s most respected, diversified, open-shop heavy civil construction organizations specializing in concrete, paving, grading, demolition, and underground utilities. Our commitment to safety, high quality, and superb client service is rooted everything we do, and we are fueled by a commitment to deliver unmatched value to our clients.

Born from humble roots, CPC’s founder is dedicated to improving the communities in which we work.
In 2018 we founded the Chavez Family Scholars Program to invest in the education of our local best and brightest and have funded over 20 college scholarships. Since 2011 we’ve committed to serving the Society of American Military Engineers to strengthen our national security and support the Warfighter mission. We also regularly support business groups and industry associations that work to preserve free markets and empower small business.
